December 9, 2009

Hello Everyone,

Can you believe it is already December 2009? As I was considering how quickly the year has passed, I recalled that, in 1983, I was studying the Scriptures and comparing them to some of Einstein’s theories concerning light, space, and time. And in the midst of that study, I discovered that the closer we get to God, who is light (1Jn 1:5), the greater effect it would have on time in the last days.

I realized that, the closer we got to God, the more time would become compressed. This compression would cause time to go by faster. We would still have 24 hours in a day, but those hours would go by much more quickly. Jesus intimated this phenomenon in Mat 24:22, when he said that the days would be "shortened" for the elect’s sake. The rapidity with which this year has passed is a testimony that we are in the last days.

As I was thinking about 2009, I realized that it has truly been a remarkable year for the ministry. I thought about all of the special events that took place this past year.

1. The Prayer Conference in February

2. The RMFI Minister’s Conference in June

3. The Servants and Handmaidens Conference in July

4. The SWIM Ministers Conference in August

PLUS

5. Many anointed Sunday services at Victory Harvest Church

IT HAS TRUY BEEN A BLESSED YEAR!

Since the end of September, God has had me spending a great deal of time locked away in prayer and intercession. And, as of the writing of this letter, that special grace to spend time with Him is still on me. The purpose of this "away time" is threefold.

1. To re-establish spiritual foundations in my own life and ministry

2. To pray and intercede for all of our friends and partners whom God has connected to this church and

     ministry.

3. To pray and seek God for what our assignments will be in 2010.

As I have sough the Lord, I felt that I needed to share a small portion concerning each of the these three areas.

1. To re-establish spiritual foundations in my own life and ministry

               Isaiah 40:29-31 (KJV)

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

As I went into this, God instructed me to go back and listen to old tapes and teachings that I haven’t listened to in 30 years. He instructed me to go back and re-read certain books that have lain dormant on the shelf for 30 years. The common denominator in these tapes and books is that they laid spiritual foundations in my and Cindy’s life when we were beginning our walk with God and taking our first steps in ministry. This process is having a threefold result.

First of all, I have discovered that I see and hear things from quite a different perspective at 53 years of age than I did at 23. Because of 32+ years of ministry under the belt, my understanding of fundamental truths is far richer than it was when I first started learning from God.

Secondly, I have discovered how I have let fundamental disciplines slip in my spiritual life without even realizing it. But it has also given me the opportunity to make an honest assessment in these areas and adjust accordingly The writer of Hebrews gives warning against falling into such a condition.

      Hebrews 2:1 (KJV)

1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

Thirdly, this process has given me the opportunity to receive fresh wisdom and insight on foundational truths that are absolutely essential for walking in Gods’ best.

2. To pray and intercede for all of our friends and partners whom God has connected to this church and ministry.

Several days ago, Cindy sent a mass email to many of our friends and partners asking if there was anything that we could specifically pray over, and seek God for, in their behalf.

THE RESPONSE WAS AMAZING!

There are so many of you that are experiencing anything but the "storybook" concept of Christmas this year. You are facing circumstances and obstacles that, apart from the grace of God would be overwhelming. Many of you are facing decisions and issues that almost blot out the entire holiday season by comparison.

And while Cindy and I pray for all of you consistently, as friends and partners of this ministry, this time away with God has given me a special opportunity to pray and hold your emails up before God in a very concentrated way.

Please know that as a partner with this ministry, you are being prayed for everyday of your life. There is not a day that goes by that YOU are not prayed for. However, in this special time with the Lord, I have the opportunity and the grace to intercede in a very concentrated and extended way for you and your needs.

Also, I would encourage you to send us your prayer requests on the enclosed sheet or email us ( We would consider it an honor to stand with you in prayer.

3. To pray and seek God for what our assignments will be in 2010

The year of 2010 will be a most interesting year for the Body of Christ and for the world. As I have been praying and seeking God for the coming year, I sense that 2010 will be the YEAR OF PLACEMENT for the CHURCH!

Because of this, there will be a great deal of adjustment in the first four to five moths of this year. CHANGE will become the order of the day - change in ministry, change in business, change in vision. MUCH TRANSITION!

There will also be a tremendous amount of change in relation to geographical location. There will be MANY in the Body of Christ that God will require them to move to a new location. These moves will not be easy ones. But, they will be part of the STRATEGIC PLACEMENT that God has for His people (For some, this began in 2009!). For those that obey God and make those geographical moves, especially in the face of difficult circumstances, there will be a time when they will rejoice and say, "I am glad that we obeyed God. We are where we are supposed to be!"

For the world, 2010 will be a YEAR OF DISPLACEMENT! There will continue to be much disorder and disarray as people continue to look to government and other sources to be their god and bring about deliverance. CHANGE will be the order of the day for the world, as well. But it will not be good change! The foundations in which the world has trusted for years will continue to deteriorate.

In the midst of social and financial calamity, they will "push all of the buttons and pull all of the levers" that has worked for them in the past, but it will fail them in this hour.

However, this is not the time for the church to be afraid because it will be a time when God will preserve, protect, and defend His People, as never before, because His Word is on the line! There is going to be such a distinction between those who are walking with God and those who are not, that they will literally fulfill Paul’s words when he said that the church would "shine forth as lights IN THE MIDST of a CROOKED AND PERVERSE GENERATION (Php 2:15)!

THE MARK OF THE BELIEVER WILL BE STABILITY IN THE MIDST OF INSTABILITY, PROVISION IN THE MIDST OF LACK, OVERCOMING IN THE MIDST OF IMPOSSIBILITY, MERCY IN THE MIDST OF JUDGMENT, AND GRACE IN THE MIDST OF GRIEF!

MAKE THIS VERSE YOUR MOTTO AND YOUR QUEST!

      Isaiah 33:6 (KJV)

6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

This issue of PLACEMENT is one of the main focal points of my time with the Lord. Cindy and I want to be in position for what God desires in the earth. And I am not only praying it for myself but for all of you connected to this ministry.

Just as a side note, our trip to Australia and Asia that was scheduled in the Spring of 2010 has been postponed because of scheduling issues. So we are leaving the timing in the Lord’s hands. This schedule change is just one example of the whole issue of PLACEMENT!

As I close, I want to share a Scripture with those of you that are financial partners with us. The Lord brought this scripture to my attention today.

      1 Corinthians 9:11 (KJV)

11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

On the surface, Paul is addressing the subject of financial support of ministries. But I began to see a deeper truth that I want to share with you.

There is a law in the spirit and in the natural world that says everything will reproduce after its’ own kind. God instituted that law in the creative process of Genesis.

      Genesis 1:11-12 (KJV)

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Paul talked about SOWING in SPIRITUAL things and REAPING in NATURAL things. What this demonstrates is that SPIRITUAL ACTIVITY and PHYSICAL INCREASE are intricately related. If they were not, we couldn’t sow and reap from one to the other. (You can’t pick an apple off of a peach tree!)

Paul said that "If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?". We can sow in the spirit and reap in the physical. The same is also true in reciprocal. We can sow in the physical and reap in the spirit. The door swings both ways.

My point is that when you sow into this ministry as a financial partner, you have the right to reap spiritual results by the grace that is on this ministry. This involves primarily three things.

1. PRAYER - As I stated earlier, we pray for you daily. And while we pray for whomever the Lord leads us to pray, our prayers carry greater authority in the lives of our partners. The reason for this is that you have the RIGHT to the EFFECT of those prayers in a greater way, because it is part of the harvest that belongs to you as a partner. In other words, our prayers carry great authority and inroad into your life because of your partnership!

2. THE GRACE TO STAND - Cindy and I have been in this ministry for over 30 years. In the midst of that, friend and foe alike have acknowledged that we are faithful to our calling and WE DON’T QUIT! This is not because we’re Super Christian! (In our own strength, we have quit thousands of times!) It is because God has granted us a grace to stand in the midst of horrendous opposition. That grace also belongs to each and every one of our partners

      Romans 5:2 (KJV)

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3. THE GRACE OF REVELATION - There is a grace on this ministry in the sphere of wisdom and revelation in the Word of God. That same grace is also for each and every one of partners to receive insight from the Word of God in their personal time with the Lord.

Ephesians 1:7-8 (KJV)

      7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

      8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

For all of our partners, THANK YOU SO MUCH for making 2009, a marvelous year of ministry. Our prayer is that your sowing be multiplied back to you a hundredfold in every area of your life!

For those of you that are not partners with us, I would like for you to consider becoming a partner with this ministry in 2010. As I was praying over this letter, I was impressed to make the "ground" of this ministry available to you as a field in which to sow your financial seed and reap the benefits.

The Lord told me a few days ago that partners aren’t called to SUPPORT ministry. THAT IS GOD’S JOB! HE IS THE ROOT AND FOUNDATION OF TRUE MINISTRY! Partners are called to SOW into ministry in order to reap a harvest.

      Philippians 4:17-19 (KJV)

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Cindy and I have been partners with various ministries for years, and with some, for decades. I have been a partner with one particular ministry since I was 16 years old. And it is truly a key to Gods’ blessings.

With that kind of experience in partnership, let me share an important secret to its’ success! The secret is in COMMITMENT and CONSISTENCY! Our COMMITMENT and the CONSISTENCY in partnership with other ministries has been one of the reasons that the grace to stand and the grace for revelation is on this ministry

HOW the Lord wants you to sow is between you and Him. But I would ask you to pray and respond as you are led.
